It is OUT!
I am now mercury-free! My appointment went well today, although my jaws are a little sore from the shots and my bite is not quite right. I am going back on Thursday for them to fix it -- they just can't do a good job on that when you're numb and can't feel anything. When I got home I gave Noah a hug and told him that I missed him. He looked at my mouth and said, "Let me see." I had told him yesterday I was going to the dentist today to get the yucky stuff out of my teeth (showed him the amalgams, too). I was startled that he remembered.
Now to detox and get rid of the mercury in my system. Some people who are in really bad shape take the detox phase very, VERY seriously. I am taking it easy and going slow since I don't feel awful. I am taking selenium, zinc, magnesium, copious amounts of Vitamin C, chlorella, probiotics (Primal Defense), milk thistle, garlic cloves, psyllium (to make sure I stay "extra regular"), cilantro, and beet kvass. Mmmmm, fermented beet juice, my favorite. Actually it's not that bad. It tastes like beets w/ a little salt. Also making sure I eat lots of protein. When I was researching the detox phase, I kept getting so much conflicting information. Especially when it came to the pharmaceuticals like DMPS, EDTA, DMSA, etc. So I decided to take it easy and just go w/ stuff I had heard of before (as in real food/herbs/minerals/vitamins). Some of the other chelating (detoxing) stuff sounds really scary and I just don't want to go there.
This morning was the last time I'll ever nurse Claire. I'm kinda sad about that, but I feel better about it knowing I have a good supply of raw milk. I also made it to 1 year, which is always my goal. She will be 13 months old tomorrow.
