A nice day

We went for a walk this afternoon, all 4 of us. It was in the low 60's w/ a few clouds and a light breeze w/ occasional gusts. After we got back to the house Doug had to leave for work but I stayed outside w/ the children since it was such a nice day. We spent about 30 minutes in the front yard and then moved to the back yard. Claire and Noah played w/ the leaves covering the garden area and just generally crawled/ran around getting dirty. Claire spent about 20 minutes walking along the edge of the garden holding onto the wooden boundaries. Just walking back and forth, up and down the hill. Noah screamed and ran around w/ me chasing and tickling him. I told him he could scream all he wanted outside so he did and Claire joined in. She likes to do whatever he is doing. I enjoyed watching my children enjoy being outside. I wish I had had the camera w/ me. Overall we spent about 2 hours outside. After supper they both seemed worn out and ready for bed! I should take them out more often. :)

We have a CD that has the alphabet song on it. Tonight as we were getting ready for bed it was on and after it was over, Claire sang "ABCD" fairly close to the correct tune. I was so impressed!

On Friday we were driving thru town on the way to P.F. Chang's. We were talking about our next baby when I looked up and saw that we were crossing Wesley Street. Was it a sign? Well, yes, of course it was a sign, but was it a sign of the next baby to come? Only time will tell. By the way, this is not an announcement. Doug has made the bold prediction that I will not give birth this year. I have never been pregnant during the months of December or January, so we'll see.

Wesley Street? How could that be a sign? As in John Wesley? I would be much more encouraged if it had been Edwards Street. :)
