Snow Day

We got a couple inches of snow last night, our second snow of the season. Doug came home from his last midnight shift of the week and instead of going to bed, he went out to play w/ Noah. It's a good thing, too, because much of the snow is gone from the backyard already and it's only 11am. It's still pretty cold out but the sun is beating down hard.

Last time it snowed (early Sunday morning) I stayed inside w/ Claire. I'm just not into snow, especially not like Doug is into snow. This time I bundled up and took Claire out w/ me. We didn't play in it or anything; I just went out to take pictures of the boys. I did let Claire touch it but I don't think she was impressed. I sat on the patio in a folding chair watching Doug and Noah and she walked around me. The snow didn't stick at all on concrete.

Doug and Noah did some sledding and did some wipe-outs. They had to use a flat-bottomed sled because there wasn't enough snow for the sled w/ runners. Everytime he crashed, Doug insisted the thing was impossible to steer. :) Noah fell off when he went himself and just wanted to push his lawnmower around. After a while of watching Daddy he decided he wanted to ride w/ Doug and seemed to enjoy that a lot. My very local weatherman said it might snow even more on Saturday. You heard it here first, folks.

Oh, yesterday we got in the van to run a couple errands. Claire started doing this crazy laugh that we have never heard before. It sounded like a crazy man crossed w/ a billy goat. It was hysterical, though Noah was not amused. For some reason he does not like it when she "talks" loudly. We tell him to hold his ears if it's too loud.
