March Madness

It's that time of year to fill out those brackets. I don't know much about college basketball outside of the ACC, but I enjoy doing some research at the end of the year and filling out a bracket (I guess that's part of the meteorologist in me - always making crazy predictions). So to have my picks this year on record and public to the whole world, and so I can say 'I told you so' when I'm right, I will now reveal my Final Four picks:

Texas vs. UCLA
UConn vs. Boston College

Championship game: UCLA vs. UConn
Winner: UConn, final score 76-60

Prediction of ACC teams:
N.C. State will lose in the first round to California, leading to Herb Sendek's (forced) resignation. State won, then was demolished by Texas. I am resigned to the unfortunate likelihood that Herb will stay.
Duke will lose to LSU in the regional semifinals. RIGHT! SWEET!
North Carolina will lose to Michigan State in the second round. They lost to George Mason in the second round, which is even more satisfying!
Boston College makes the Final Four and loses to UConn.

Notable upsets:
Bucknell over Arkansas in the first round. RIGHT!
UNC-Wilmington over George Washington in the first round. Wrong
Wisconsin-Milwaukee over Oklahoma in the first round. RIGHT!
UAB over Kentucky in the first round. Wrong
Texas A&M over Syracuse in the first round. RIGHT!
San Diego State over Indiana in the first round. Wrong
Wichita State over Tennessee in the second round. RIGHT!
Michigan State over North Carolina in the second round. Right round, wrong opponent.

So far, not too shabby. Got 11 of the Sweet 16 teams right, with all Final Four teams still alive.
