Noah's "imaginary" friend
Noah has an imaginary friend. Well, she's really not imaginary, since she's a real person, but Noah likes to pretend she is with him all the time. His new friend is Katie, his 7ish year-old cousin. We went to Carla's parents' house, and several of our nieces and nephews were there too. Noah is kind of shy around people he's not totally familiar with, and since he only sees his cousins a couple times a year at the most, they are probably virual strangers to him. But he warmed up really fast to Katie. All his other cousins were trying to get his attention and play with him, but he would not talk to anyone but Katie. He always wanted to know where she was and wanted to be near her. After we left, he brought his imaginary Katie home with him. He likes to show her how he can put on his shoes by himself, how he goes pee by himself, how he can buckle his seatbelt by himself, and how he can ride his tricycle. He pulls her around in his wagon. She sits beside him in the car and at the dinner table. Good thing she doesn't eat much, since Claire eats more than her fair share.
Maybe one of these days, Carla will get around to blogging about how she is starting to feel the baby kicking.
