Fun with chainsaws!

I decided to go out and buy a chainsaw today. I chose to do so today because a large tree decided to die across our driveway. It was assisted in its demise by winds from a severe thunderstorm that moved through the night before. It's a shame, because it was a very nice tree - a full grown Bradford pear. It provided shade for our hostas below it, but now those will have to go too. So for the first time in my life, I used a chainsaw without parental supervision. It didn't go so well at first. The chain got stuck in a limb when I was cutting, so I had to get an axe to cut it out. This made a slight bend in the chain, which is probably fixable, but fortunately the chainsaw came with a spare chain. My technique gradually improved, and when I was done, I still had all my limbs intact, though they were all very sore.

I think you should have mentioned that your pregnant wife helped you drag all those cut branches to the road.
