Mission POSSIBLE! Potty Training: Day 5

I realize these potty-training posts have limited appeal for others, but it makes me happy and I want to tell somebody about it.

Things are going pretty well! Here's a brief run-down of how things have gone the past few days.

Day 2 (Sunday): Total failure. Had to put a diaper on her in the evening because we were at someone else's house and I didn't want to deal w/ an accident there.
Day 3 (Monday): Improvement. Caught her in the middle of the act (both #1 and #2) and rushed her to the potty to finish.
Day 4 (Tuesday): She's starting to get it! Peed w/i 10 seconds of putting her on the potty!
Day 5 (Wednesday): Had a bm w/i 3 minutes of putting her on the potty. Tonight while I was making supper she told me she needed to pee and she did it! I was so happy! (And so was she!)

I was telling my mother about all this today and she said it was funny that a college graduate could get so excited about the toilet habits of a 2 year old. I told her that college graduates get excited about not having to change dirty diapers. Plus I'll be able to go 4 days between washing diapers instead of 3.

Tomorrow we have to go shopping in the afternoon. We'll see how things go during the morning and decide then whether we'll attempt the excursion w/o a diaper. She basically only pees twice a day, once in the morning and then in the evening. This tells me she is holding it more than when she was in diapers as I was having to change her more frequently than that.

Note to self when it's time to train Chloe: Put sweatpants on her -- it soaks up most of the pee accidents so nothing gets on the floor.
