A reward for window washing

Today I finally started on a chore that I should have done a while ago but kept putting off, washing my windows. I have no excuse, as we have nice vinyl windows that tilt in to make cleaning a lot less painful than it could be. But anyway, my goal was to get all the downstairs windows cleaned today. As I was preparing to start on the last 2 in the playroom, I noticed a little nest w/ 4 eggs in the rhododendron right outside the window. How exciting! I was curious as to what kind of bird had made it, and not 2 minutes later did I find out. A female cardinal came back to the nest and settled down on the eggs. She didn't seem too excited to see me. I heard her "talking" and then saw a male cardinal nearby. After I got out my camera and took a couple of pictures she flew away, but came back after a few minutes. I closed the blinds so that I could peek out at her w/o she seeing me.
